Nast, Thomas, Thomas Nast’s Christmas Drawings for the Human Race (New York: Harper and Row, 1971), with a new introduction by Thomas Nast St. Hill

Dover Publications of New York republished this volume under the title Thomas Nast’s Christmas Drawings in 1978, with a new introduction by Thomas Nast St. Hill. The format of this volume was different from that published by Harper and Row in 1971; Mr. St. Hill’s introduction differs from the Harper and Row edition, and the Epilogue in that version is omitted from the Dover Publications edition.

In addition, the Dover Publications edition includes three additional black-and-white drawings, plus three color drawings created by Thomas Nast which were originally included in the work Santa Claus and His Works by George P. Webster (New York: McLoughlin Brothers, 1869). Santa’s suit is red fur, trimmed with white.
