1. Nobis est natus hodie, pura virgine,
De pura virgine, De pura virgine,
Christus Rex gloriae,
Christus Rex gloriae.

1. This happy morn, to day is born
The Virgin Mary's Son, The Virgin Mary's Son;
The Christ, The glorious King;
The Christ, The glorious King.

2. Cui sol et nunc aethera,
Luna et sidera,
De pura virginie,
Vernant per tempora. (bis)

2. From Whom the sun and all the sky
The moon and every star,
The Virgin Mary's Son,
Retrim their gold on high. (bis)

3. Ideo nos terrigenae,
Laudemus hodie,
De pura virgine,
Regem potentiae. (bis)

3. So we that live upon the earth
Do celebrate His birth,
The Virgin Mary's Son,
The King omnipotent. (bis)

4. Ob hoc pangemus nunc ei
Omnes et singuli,
De pura virgine,
Voce ch-ra-li. (bis)

4. Raise up to Him a joyful noise,
Let each and every one
The Virgin Mary's Son,
Uplift a quiring voice. (bis)

5. Agentes gratias ei,
Quod nos eruerit,
De pura virgine,
De fauce tartari. (bis)

5. Pour out our thankfulness that He,
The Virgin Mary's Son,
Prevailed our souls to draw
From hell's devouring maw. (bis)

6. Laudamus nostrum Dominum,
Mariae Filium,
De pura virgine,
Regem humilium. (bis)

6. Far over all we praise the Lord,
The Virgin Mary's Son,
Who chose her for His own,
The king of all poor men. (bis)

7. Ut dentur nobis praemia
Magnaque gaudia,
De pura virgine,
In coeli curia. (bis)

7. So may we gain our great reward
And inconceivable.
The Virgin Mary's Son,
In Heaven's palace hall. (bis)

8. Laudetur sancta Trinitas,
Simplex et unitas,
De pura virgine,
Agendo gratias. (bis)

8. Praise to the Holy Trinity
In sovran Unity,
The Virgin Mary's Son,
Our thanks be never done. (bis)

9. Salus illi et gloria
Atque victoria,
De pura virgine,
Per cuncta saecula. (bis)

9. Be unto Him salvation
And glory evermore,
The Virgin Mary's Son,
While all the ages run. (bis)
