O EARTH be joyful, all ye nations sing,
Let heaven's high arch with songs of triumph ring.

Now shall the valleys be exalted high,
And lofty hills shall sink beneath the sky
Hail! ever glorious welcome morn,
A Prophet, Priest, and King is born!

Amazing thoughts! O wondrous depths of love!
To quit Thy glorious seat in realms above
And condescend our sinful form to bear,
That all mankind might in Thy bounty share.

Let the bright seraphim, around Thy throne
Join in a song to make Thy glories known,
Hail Great Redeemer! Thee our souls adore—
Worthy art Thou of praise for evermore.—Amen.
