Hosanna to the Prince of light,
    Of David's ancient line ;
His nature two, his person one,
    Mysterious and Divine !

On him the government shall rest,
    His greatness we'll extol,
High over all, for ever blest,
    His name is wonderful.

Justice and grace with sweet accord,
    His rising beams adorn ;
Let heaven and earth in concert join,
    The promised child is born.
