1. From Heav'n the Son of God descends,
And takes the form of Man.
To reconcile His foes as friends
Was all His gracious plan.

2. The Babe in bethle'em manger laid,
In humble form so low,
By wondering Angels is survey'd
Through all His scenes of woe.

3. Glory to God, the new-born King,
Who did on earth descend!
His boundless glory let us sing
For evermore! Amen!
