1. Children sing a
carol splendid,
Ecce mundi gaudia.
On this morning Christ descended
In te sunt solemnia
O Virgo Maria,
Dei plena gratia!
2. In the midnight to
a maiden
Ecce mundi gaudia.
Gabriel with good news laden
In te sunt solemnia
O Virgo Maria,
Dei plena gratia!
3. Came and gave her
friendly greeting
Ecce mundi gaudia.
God's especial business trusting
In te sunt solemnia
O Virgo Maria,
Dei plena gratia!
4. Said His Son would
be her baby
Ecce mundi gaudia.
Till, she said, how such things may be
In te sunt solemnia
O Virgo Maria,
Dei plena gratia!
5. Then the angel
spoke a wonder
Ecce mundi gaudia.
God would keep her maid and mother
In te sunt solemnia
O Virgo Maria,
Dei plena gratia!
6. So she bore the
Heavenly Stranger
Ecce mundi gaudia.
So she laid Him in a manger
In te sunt solemnia
O Virgo Maria,
Dei plena gratia!
