As bright the star of morning gleams,
so Jesus sheddeth glorious beams
     of light and consolation.
Thy Word, O Lord,
     radiance darting,
     truth imparting,
     gives salvation;
Thine be praise and adoration.

Noted on page 40 of this same issue: The Copartnership existing under the firm of “Mason & Law” was dissolved by mutual consent on Feb. 14, 1853, and on the same day, the firm of “Mason Brothers,” consisting of Lowell Mason, Jr., and Daniel G. Mason, was established.
