1. Whom the Sire of hev'n begot,
When the morning star was not:
To whom no mother there gave birth,
But had no father here on earth,

2. He as man today is seen
Of thy7 substance, Maiden clean:
And this glad tiding from afar
Is told the Wisemen by a star.

3. This too Angels chaunted fain
With the heardmen on the plain:
'O Mary, full of grace, tomorn
Of thee, pure Virgin, God is born.
