What heav'nly music's this I hear,
    Sounds from the nether sky
'Tis angels' notes glad tidings bring,
    Our great Redeemer's nigh.

Arise and join the heav'nly choir,
    In that angelic song:—
“Glory to God, all pow'r and praise,
    To whom all praise belong.”

“On earth be peace, good-will to man,”
    Thus sang the heav'nly host,
Let us unite in praise to God,
The Son and the Holy Ghost.
