1. Shining o'er Bethlehem, to faithful Watchers given,
The Star above the midday light illumed the vault of Heaven.
Eastern Sages, each a King,
Mystic symbols offering
Regal gold, and priestly frankincense, and deathly myrrh, their precious tribute bring.

2. Hail, Jesu, King of kings, to Thee no bauble crown,
But all our hearts' best gold we bring, and at Thy feet cast down,
Thee, Incarnate God, we sing,
Thee the Sages worshiping
Regal gold, and priestly frankincense, and deathly myrrh, their precious tribute bring.

3. Lo! sweet memorial of Thy atoning Love
Thy servants offer here on earth, as Thou in Heaven above.
Thee, Eternal Priest, we sing,
Thee the Sages worshipping
Regal gold, and priestly frankincense, and deathly myrrh, their precious tribute bring.

4. Hail, Son of Man, in all our conflicts here below
Remember us, for Thou hast felt the pangs of mortal woe.
Thee, Very Man, we sing,
Thee the Sages worshipping
Regal gold, and priestly frankincense, and deathly myrrh, their precious tribute bring.
