The Hymns and Carols of Christmas

Profits Here, Profits There

Words by Howard Ryan

To The Tune of Jingle Bells

MIDI / Noteworthy Composer

Profits here, profits there, profits everywhere
Christmas time is funny I smell money in the air
Advertise, glamorize, fool them with a flair
And let's make sure that Christmas is a businesslike affair

They're eating up our lies and dashing to the stores
Then all our prices rise and how the money pours
If we don't keep them blind and watching the TV
They might see through our tyranny—then where would business be?

(Chorus) Profits here…

We'll tell them how to think and tell them what to buy
What to eat and drink and how to live and die
And if our plan succeeds, when Christmas time is nigh
Instead of seeking love and peace they'll hunt for gifts to buy!

(Chorus) Profits here…
