1. Oh! sing to-day
A sweet, glad lay,
For angels in the sky
Begin to sin;
Christ comes, our King;
Glory to God most high!
2. Yes, wake again
The happy strain
That tells of Jesus' Birth;
To-day he's here
To bless and cheer
His little ones on earth.
3. Loud anthems sing,
Messiah is King,
Though in a manger sleeps;
With gentle hands
O'er his dear lambs
A loving guard he keeps.
4. Our praises rise
And reach the skies
For all our sins forgiven;
His cross we'll bear,
His love we'll share;
Then sing to him in heaven!
