1. O hasten and join with your voices
Ye Christians the angelic throng
From heaven to earth now rejoices
A world which has waited so long
In Bethlehem's Crib has appeared
The Son of the Virgin so mild
O hasten ye people who hear it
And kneel to the heavenly Child.

2. O Fairest in all generations
Thou God in humanity veiled
Fulfillest the world's expectations
Thy promise which never has failed
O give us the peace once declared
By angels in Bethlehem's night
The peace which the heavens prepared
For all who will follow the light.
