1. Let Sion and her sons rejoice,
Behold the promis'd hour;
Her God hath heard her mourning voice,
And comes to exalt His pow'r.
Her God hath heard her mourning voice,
And comes to exalt His pow'r.
2. He saved the nations dead in sin,
He felt His pity move.
How sad a state the world was in!
How boundless was His love!
3. He comes to save us from our woe -
(His goodness never fails!)
From death and hell and every foe -
(And still His love prevails).
4. Give glory to the new-born king;
His mercies still endure.
Let all the world His praises sing;
His truth is ever sure.
