1. Jesus, of a maid Thou wouldst be born,
To save mankind that was forlorn,
And all for our miss,1
    Miserere nobis.

2. Born Thou wert of Mary free,
And Thou didst die upon the Rood Tree,
    And all for our miss,
        Miserere nobis.
