1. In the dark and silent night,
Blessed Lord be thou my light;
So shall nothing me affright. Alleluia!

2. Safely shadowed 'neath Thy wing,
Help Thy little one to sing,
Glory to the heavenly King! Alleluia!

3. Angels sing, and so would I,
While upon my bed I lie.
Praise the Glorious Trinity! Alleluia!
