Holver and Heivy made a grete party,
Who schuld have the maistry
In londes where they go.

Than spak Holver ' I am frece and joly ;
I will have the maistry 5
    In londes where we go.'

Than spak Heivy ' I am loud and proud ;
And I will have the maistry
    In londes where we go.'

Than spak Holver, and set him downe on his knee, 10
' I prey thee, jentil Heivy,
Sey me no veleny
    In londes where we go.'
