1. Good Christians all with sweet accord,
Sing praise to God on High,
And with the Mother of our Lord,
The Saviour magnify,
The Saviour magnify.

2. He came for us upon this Morn,
Thrice holy time of rest!
Jesus, the King of kings was born
Of Ever Virgin blest,
Of Ever Virgin blest.

3. Yet not with gems and gaudy show,
With regal pomp arrayed, --
But in a Manger poor and low,
The Lord of Life was laid,
The Lord of Life was laid.

4. And from the Manger to the Cross
The Holy, Undefiled,
Endured our sorrow, pain, and loss,
Rejected and reviled,
Rejected and reviled.

5. Then Carols to the welkin's ear
Upraise, ye Christians all; --
The Angels tell us Christ is near,
In this our Festival,
In this our Festival.
