The Hymns and Carols of Christmas

Fairy Snowflakes

For Christmas

Words: Anonymous

Music: Unknown

Undated.

1. Fairy snowflakes dancing down the chimney wide
Dancing in the fire-place bright
Stockings of all sizes now are hanging side by side
Santa Claus will come to-night.
Hear the jingle, jingle of the sleigh bells
Hear them chime and ring and ring
Making all the earth seem full of gladness
And our hearts with Christmas ring
Far away they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle
Now they jingle, jingle, jingle near
Let's give three cheers for Christmas
Santa Claus will soon be here.

2. Short and fat and jolly with the oddest nose
With a merry, twinkling eye
Snowy hair and fluffy beard and fuzzy woolly clothes
Listen he is surely nigh.
Hear the jingle, jingle of the sleigh bells
Hear them chime and ring and ring
Making all the earth seem full of gladness
And our hearts with Christmas ring
Far away they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle
Now they jingle, jingle, jingle near
Let's give three cheers for Christmas
Santa Claus will soon be here.
