In the quiet of evening
In the still of early morn.
In the midst of cattle mooing
God's own child was born.

She laid him in a manger,
As shepherds left their left their sheep,
Following Gabriel's command
they as she heard a song so sweet

Child of mine child so bright,
You are all in your father's sight.
The sun may fade to darkest night,
but you will always be my light.

Child of mine, child so bright,
You are all in your Father's sight
The sun may fade to darkest night
but you will always be my light.

For twelve days they gathered
Until last there came from far
in the East, three wise men
seeking answers to a star.

Bearing gifts of brilliant gold,
Frankincense and bitter myrrh.
But none could be so lovely
As the sound of Mary's words.

Child of mine child so bright,
You are all in your father's sight.
The sun may fade to darkest night,
but you will always be my light.

Child of mine, child so bright,
You are all in your Father's sight
The sun may fade to darkest night
but you will always be my light.
