1. Blest are the sons of Peace!
They sing a joyful song;
Their voices raise to sing His praise,
The Saviour promis'd long:
Hark, hark! the voice from Heav'n
"In Bethle'em you may see,
A Child wrapt up in swaddling bands,
With Peace and Unity."
2. Our glad Hosanna-praise
With sacred honour pay:
And loud Hosannas shall proclaim
The triumphs of this day.
Go, spread the news abroad --
"The great Messiah's born."
And, Angels, sing a Saviour's birth,
And every voice a song.
3. "Rejoice, mankind, on earth"
We'll sing with one accord:
With ten-string'd instruments we'll sing --
"All people praise the Lord.
Praise Him upon the Throne,
Where zeal and friendship meet,
The King of kings, the Lord of lords:
Sing Hallelujah sweet."
