Music: Not Stated

Source: A Selection of Carols, Pieces, and Anthems, Suitable for Christmas. (London: W. Kent and Co.; Penzance: F. Rodda, ca. 1872), pp. 17-18.

Blessed, bright and shining star,
Guiding wise men from afar;
Bringing joyful news to earth,
Tidings of a Saviour's birth.

Chorus—
Thrice welcome Jesus !
Blessed, blessed Jesus !
Thrice welcome Jesus !
The new-born Saviour King !

Jesus, may we come to thee,
Lowly bending on the knee;
Costly gifts we cannot bring.
But we hail thee, Saviour King !
