Ymnus in Adventu Domini

Durham MS. fol. 10b.

Ad Vesperam

Conditor alme siderum
Aeterna lux credentium
Christe redemptor omnium
Exaudi preces supplicum.

Qui condolens interitu
Mortis perire seculum
Salvasti mundum languidum
Donans reis remedium.

Vergente mundi vespere
Sicut sponsus de thalamo
Egressus honestissima
Virginis matris clausula.

Cujus forti potentiae
Genu curvantur omnia
Caelestia terrestria
Fatentur nutu subdita.

Occasum sol custodiens
Luna pallorem retinens
Candor in astris relucens
Certos observat limites.

Te deprecamur Agie
Venture judex saeculi
Conserva nos in tempore
Hostis a telis perfidi.

Laus honor virtus gloria
Deo Patri et Filio
Simul cum Sancto Spiritu
In sempiterna secula.

Amen.
