Walter Greatorex
1877-1949

Born: March 30, 1877, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England.

Son of a bank manager, Greatorex attended Derby School and St. John’s College, Cambridge. He served as assistant music master at Uppingham School, and music master at Gresham’s School in Holt, Norfolk, England, from 1911 to 1949.

Died: December 29, 1949, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.
