To be clear: this site does not send out unsolicited emails under any circumstances. Period.
If you received an email purportedly from this site, it was "spoofed." It did not come from this site, and this site is unable to halt this distribution.
Considering the hundreds of "bounced" messages that are about to inundate my inbox, I can assure you that if I could halt this distribution, I would (not to mention the ill-informed, irate emails that I am about to receive from clueless people who don't understand that nobody sends out this kind of garbage under their own name ... they steal the good names of other, innocent people!)

Vizetelly closes with the following verses from Nedham:
All plums the prophet's sons defy,
And spice broths are too hot;
Treason's in a December pie,
And death within the pot.Christmas, farewell! thy days, I fear,
Thy merry days are done:
So they may keep feasts all the year,
Our Saviour shall have none.
Note:
Possibly Marchamont Nedham (1620-1678)? Nedham was a colorful journalist, active during the English Civil War. Some of his work was in verse. Although initially aligned with the Puritans, he switched loyalties to the Royalists when he began to fear that the Puritans were going too far. He later avoided execution by agreeing to write for Cromwell, but ended up briefly in exile after the return of the monarchy under Charles II. For more information about Nedham, see Perils of the Puritan Press. (http://www.worldmag.com/world/olasky/centralideas/chap2.html ; accessed September 26, 2006). See also Marchamont Needham (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marchamont_Needham ; accessed September 26, 2006.
